SIX weeks school holidays of sunshine and cloud, were concluded yesterday when scholars- of both primary and secondary departments commenced their new term. From figures to hand it would appear that Whakatane's school roll will be greater than ever this year, and that accommodation will once again be taxed to capacity. Such a situation whilst it may lend strength to the school committee's persistent claims for increased school buildings, is not likely to detract from the difficulties and responsibilities which that bQdy must be prepared to face and shoulder during the next twelve months.
