•Striking Situation* It would appear that the strike at the Rangitaiki factory was not confined to the men alone but also extended to part of the equipment, namely one of the cream trucks. It is reported that on Thursday when the trucks were returning to the factory from Whakatane j one of them decided to follow the example of the men ? and accordingly went on strike. As a result passing motorists were astonished to see out in the region of Kopeopeo a line of cream trucks, standing vacant ) and the leading one (the miscreant) } the object of animated attention by hordes of farmers. Reports state that at the time the whole of the truck and particularly the engine, which seemed to be the cause of the trouble by its refusal to function was being subjected to a minute scrutiny and the hands that usually guide the plow were doing sterling service in the mechanical, direction.,
