SCOUT CAMP

AT LAKE ROTOMA

Final arrangements in connection with the Scout Camp to be held at Lake Rotoma, commencing on Saturday, January 27, are set out. in a circular to all Scouters by the Camp Committee. From figures available it appears likely that 150 boys from all parts of the Bay of Plenty will participate. A camp canteen will be opened at specified hours t and each unit is asked to bring an axe and ropes for pioneering. Parents are asked to see that Scouts include in their kit ) half a pound of butter. Each Scouter must make it clear to parents or guardians - that Scouts attending the camp do so at their own risk. All care will be taken, but in the. event of an accident, the committee cannot, be held responsible. Details of transport have been arranged as: under: —- Transpart Western end: Train leaves Tauranga on 27 at 7.30 a.m. and will convey Scouts from Gate Pa Oropi Tauranga Sea and Land Troops, Bethlehem and Te Puke. Train arrives Eclgecumbe at 10.20 a.m. Train will be met by buses for Rotoma. . Whakatane: Buses will leave Strand at 2 p.m. Mustering points, Road Services OiYice j and King Street Hall. I Eastern end: Buses leave Opotiki lon Sunday morning (January 28) 8.30 a.m. picking up Waiotahi | troop en route. ,Arrive Rotoma 12 noon-. Upon arrival in camp, Scouters must, report to Camp Commandant giving details ...and numbers, of troop represented. Each Scouter must be responsible for, seeing that all Scouts in his charge pay their 15/le.vy direct to Cnmp Adjutant immediately upon arrival and after checking in.
