DEPARTMENTAL SCHOOL BUSES
THE decision of the Education Department to place two buses upon the main runs serving the Rangitaiki Plains will be welcomed by all concerned. If the vehices are to be similar to those provided in other districts, they wdll be commodious and well constructed, and will give some relief to the very serious over crowding which was taking place at Edgecumbe and at Matata. Parents should not forget that the credit for bringing pressure to bear upon! the authorities is due entirely to the unremitting of the Combined Committee under the chairmanship of Mr J. W. Wilson. This body, it is understood will continue to retain its' identity and status, for the purpose of dealing with other district matters and of supervising the existing transport.
