A Bay ol' Plenty remit suggested] that the Government he asked to telegraph weather forecasts covering a period of several days. It was explained by Mr A. Briscoe Moore (Whangarei) that iP'was not yet possible to grant this request, which was supported strongly by Mr R. W. Dunning (Otaltiri). It was decided to forward an appropriate plyTlic Kawaliawa branch wrote in regard to the manure ration for sec-, ond and third class land ? which, it was represented was not sufficient as compared with the allowance for first clasS land. It. was. resolved to state in reply that the subject was being carcfully watched by the executive and to point out/ that the shortage had lately become more acute. • The following remit was received from the Athenree branch: "That the Union request the Dairy Board 'and Meat Board to acquire a controlling interest in a reputable firm manufacturing stock remedies." The proposal was referred to the Trading Department. The establishment in North Auckland of an agricultural high school on a site to be selected by the Auckland Education Board, was suggested in a Northern Wairoa sub-pro-vincial remit. This was deferred until the next meeting, further information to be sought, in the meantime . The Matamata branch forwarded the following remit: "That the whole of the proceeds; of. sale of farmers' produce should be paid to the producer." It was stated that this matter was already in hand. It was decided to get info touch with the delegation of British farmers -with a view to arranging hospitality on the occasion of the coming visit. A committee was' appointed for the purpose.
