Coastal Shipping A request to the Minister of Marine to make a full statement covering the. finding of the latest committee of enquiry set up to investigate coastal shipping was made in notice of a question asked in the House of Representatives; by Mr W. Sullivan (National, Bay of Plenty). Should not steps be. taken to encourage and expand coast-wise transport 'which was so essential to national development and defence., and to service many districts where such shipping was the only economical form of .service? lie asked.
