The highlight of the latter game was Bob Salmon's 8 (eight) (ate) There were others in the team! In a further game for the Smith Stars the holders were successful in beating off a challenge team skipped by Drube. The net. result was that Martin, Darvill, McLcod and Howat (holders) 23 beat Bennett Shapley Dixon and Drube (challengers) 15. TANEATUA-WIIAKATANE SHIELD ■ FIRST MATCH The first Shield match will take place on Saturday 26.
