An application from the Chamber ! of Commerce for assistance towards the construction of a shelter at the, Heads Park was turned down by the Whakatane. Borough Council last Monday evening, councillors considering the work beyond its, and suggesting a working bee. Cr. Canning offered also to head an individual subscription list with a guinea.
