RABBITS AT TANEATUAWAIMANA The. inspector for the Whakatane area of the East Coast Rabbit Board's, territory t Mr H. A. Burgess, in his report to the monthly meeting of the board last week stated that, he had given the, TaneatuaiWaimana country a thorough search and had found no further signs of rabbits inhabiting that district. This was particularly good news, as previously rabbits had caused a good deal of trouble there. A total of six rabbits were reported caught in the Whakatane. district, three on the Galatea estate, two at A:\vakeri and one at Waiohau. • In all 50 rabbits and 13 runners were killed in the Wairoa area during August.
