TOMORROW'S GUIDE RALLY
THE first Girl Guide Rally to be held in Whakatane takes place tomorrow, to mark the coming-of-age of the move-' ment in New Zealand. All roads during the afternoon should therefore lead to the Domain, where will be staged competitions, tests and exhibitions illustrating the training of the Guides in all its departments. All arrangements for the event are now complete, and the interested public can rest assured that a' most interesting and instructive day awaits them. Following the 'Parade of Youth' down the Strand at' 11.45 a.m. the rally proper will commence at 1.30 p.m. In attendance will be the local Boys Band, and the Junior Pipe Band. With full public support the day cannot help but be an outstanding success.
