IT'S COME TO STAY

THE remarkable public interest in the comparatively new game of Indoor Basketball, as demonstrated by the attendance at the Bay of Plenty Championships last weekend would seem to indicate that the pastime has definitely come to stay. This belief is backed by the unique performance put up by both the ladies' and men s teams, in bringing the: championship laurels to Whakatane. Our warmest congratulations go to both teams, who all unknown to the rest of the Bay must have achieved a particularly -high standard, which has brought them to the forefront as exponents of the game. If the same enthusiasm can be. maintained we see no reason for even greater successes in the future.
