A variety of subjects was covered one of the main ones being a period of instruction in the proper method of conducting elections. On this basis the committee was olected, and resulted as follows':— President: Roland King. Secretary: Isabel Martin. Committee: Ann Jos Wilson, Nellie Graham Torric i Ray Delves Bruce Thomas and Mai com Law. During the evening lihc cUib received the honour of a visit from delegates of the, Bay of Plenty Scout movement who were meeting for their annual conference in Wliakatalne. An added feature which made the evening the more attractive was the donation of ten shillings by Mr W. G. Howat as a prize for wait zing competition. This was won by Phil Moore and Lennie Butler with "Sonny" Moore and Gay Burt as very close runncrs-up. The club took much pleasure in being able to serve a first class supper to the visitors, and the Hon. B. C. Robins, M..L.G., extended thanks on behalf of the delegates. Among the items given were a pianoforte, solo by Margaret Kirk and a dance by Phyllis Rivett. Dancing and games filled in the evening and as usual everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
