MEAT BOARD REPORT&

Information regarding pastoral conditions and the opening of the. lambing season is> included in some of the latest, reports to the New Zealand Meat Producers Board by supervising graders. Pastures in the Manawatu and Wairarapa are reported to be generally excellent, and lambing is proceeding under good which will give the lambs a good start. The. percentages so far are high in these districts'. Lambs are reported to be doing well in Hawke's Bay, and there are many twins, which indicates that the district will show a good percentage,. The weather has been favourable to growth of feed. On the West. Coast of the North .Island it is reported that lambs are doing very well, and that mortality both of ewes and lambs has been low. Though dull and cold weather conditions, were reported from Canit was, stated that stocks had 'wintered well and the, feed available was fairly extensive for this time of tlie year.
