COMING Of AGE
MISS MARGARET ROBINS
EVENING AT THORNTON Well over a hundred guests attended a 21st birthday party held in the Thornton Hall on Saturday evening given by Mr and Mrs A. C. Robins of Thornton in honour of their daughter Margaret, who recently came of age. Beautifully decorated with greenery and streamers, the hall presented, a gay scene as the many couples danced and thoroughly enjoyed themselves to the music supplied by the Premier Dance Band. Monte Carlos, Novelty Dances and games of all descriptions kept the evening in full swing and certainly none could complain of any dull moments. A delicious supper was; served which incorporated all those things which go to make a 21st birthday party just what it should be, and the gathering certainly did justice to it. Mr W. Law controlled the evening as M.C. and kept the floor well filled. Dancing and gaiety continued till a late hour when the evening closed with Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem.
