GARDENING CIRCLE

The July meeting of the WaimanaNukuhou W.l.'s gardening circle was held at Mrs Cooper's residence, Mrs, John Addlson presiding. Mrs Cooper read several interesting articles on gardening. A competition., guessing pictures of advertisements taken from the "Bay of Plenty Beacon" and "Herald" was won by Mrs Wylde , . The results of the monthly competitions were:—Best vegetable: Mrs Wylde 1; Mrs M. King 2; Mrs G. Mitchell 3. Best llower: Mrs,' Woolfield 1; Mrs Wylde 2; Mrs M. King 3. Shoulder spray: Mrs Wooliield 1," Mrs Wylde 2. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs Mann ion and Mrs Heather, after which the president thanked Mrs Cooper for the pleasant afternoon spent by all, also the hostesses, which closed the meeting.
