HIGH COST OF OPERATIONS "If you gave a donation of 010 to the Patriotic Fund, that would pay the Dominion's war expenses for just eight minutes," said Mr W. S. MacGibbon, speaking at a meeting of women's organistions held in Christchurch recently, "and if you i>ave a shilling that would defray war expenses for 2 1-<lO seconds."
