THE INTERNATIONAL SLINTER

Sir,—What has made Mr Doidgecliange his views, has he received "a marconi," or was. it the Caucus that caused him to regulate his opinion on the. gold standard. To blow hot and cold does not inspire confidence. In his latest of 10/7/44, he condones with the gold hoarders, saying it. is impossible for the United States of America (Wall Street) to demonitise the vast stocks of gold which is the basis of its impregnable liquidity, or in other words accept centralised control. "Liquidity." What does Mr Doidge mean*? Does he infer that this gold belongs t.a the American nation! I think not; then who owns it? Is it not this foreign body of International Banksters who are subordinating the American peoples, as they would subordinate all other nations under economic pressure. Is it not a fact that these gold hoarders are gambling on the world's market, and that it may "liquidate." That is what is causing sore heads just now! . . . But fc|r the peace of Nations we must- have a national basis of free trade, ndtfc a controlled debt system. Are we going to allow these gamblers to dictate to all nations, what they shall sell and what they shall buy, at the >ame time< refusing you the right to equalise your internal credit with your external debit. This is what produces the national debt factor. The power to produce and to consume being withheld by those whc| are playing for world power! Are our Members of Parliament prepared to stand out for Economic Freedom and the Sovereignty of the State? Ask them! If they are true to "party" they will let you down. Yours etc., W. BRADSHAW.
