APPRECIATION
Sir, —May I through the medium of your paper, express the wholehearted thanks and appreciation of myself and family, for the wonderful assistance and kindnesses extended to us since the destruction of our home by fire. It has been .said that misfortune brings true friendship to the fore, and as far i as the people of Waimana and Nukuhou are concerned, no words of mine can possibly convey the gratitude and indebtedness we feel towards them. They have been absolutely marvellous, and I trust they will forgive my poor attempt to thank them adequately through your paper. Our loss has been a bitter experience but wc feel that we have on the other hand been enriched by the wonderful show of sympathy and fellowship which- has been so libera ally extended to us by our neighbours and friends. We can only thank them from our hearts. Yours etc., A. LUTTRELL, Waimana.
