UNIT INSPECTED

NO. 35 SQUADRON AIR TRAINING CORPS On Sunday morning, a visit by Their Excellencies, Sir Cyril and Lady Ncwall was paid to No. 35 Squadron of the Air Training Corps ■at Whakatane. The party included Their Excellencies and Fit. Lieut. ! Eaton, Aide-de-Camp to the Governor General. In line with the usual procedure 'followed on the occasion of a Sun- • day parade, a Church service conducted by the Rev. Wilson was held rat which the Vice-Regal party attended. Following this, a parade was held and an inspection carried •out by the Governor General. Approximately fifty cadets paraded, -and the general appearance and the smartness displayed did credit to the unit. In. inspecting the flights, Sir Cyril spoke a few words with •«ach cadet and at the completion •congratulated the Squadron on their smartness and bearing. This was the first time since the of the Squadron that such :a visit has been made and it was much appreciated by the cadets whose training was reflected by the manner in which they conducted themselves: during the inspection.
