MR J. L. BURNETT RE-ELECTED At the annual meeting of the Whakatane County Council last Tuesday Mr J. L. Burnett was unanimously re-elected chairman on the motion of Crs MeCready an<3 McCracken, In thanking the council for its. renewed. confidence, Mr i3urnetts- sajtl lie was gi.ad to be able to offer his .services but the time might arrivewhen it might not be possible. The chairman's honorarium was fixed at £100' plus travelling ex-» penses, the same, as in the past. The appointment of committees, resulted:—Works: Messjs. J. L. Bur* nett. L. W. Luxtou, R. C.
