"V"
Contrary to popular opinion, the letter V Avhicli appears in frant of the number on the license plates of certain cars and buses is not a "victory" sign. In general, the V denotes that the vehicle is a school bus or used for the carriage of school' children. It can also mean that the \ r ehicle to which it is attached is obtainable for private hire.
