CROQUET SEASON FINISHES

TROPHIES PRESENTED Last Saturday week marked the closing of the local Croquet Club's greens. With a glorious day andi the lawns in excellent order a very pleasant afternoqn was spent playing Progressive Croquet, the winners being Mesdames Hellyar and King. After a dainty afternoon tea had been served Mrs Creeke (president) welcomed the visitors and thanked the secretary and committee for their help and support accorded during the season at the same time expressing regret that v it had finished. Trophies were then presented to the winners of the competition held a short time ago, these being Mesdames Burgess, and Shaw; run-ners-up, Mesdames Hellyar and King. On behalf of the members Mrs Baxter extended her thariks to 'Mrs Creeke and an enjoyable afternoon was brought to a close.
