11l two years the Australian Army Inventions 1 - Directorate has dealt with 15,400 proposals, tested 2500, accepted 64 and put them into production, and the average intake of ideas is 140 a week. Non-secret inventions include: New type of zipp fastener which turns corners, and a bag-loading device which enables unsewn bags of wheat to be loaded quickly and easily into trucks.
