A Speedy Ttype Lord Dink, by Dink—Lordle, run-ner-up to Black Beret at Paeroa, and winner of the Onslow Stakes at Ellersl'le, is a fine upstanding type of two year old that in due course should get further in the winning list. He is trained by Mrs E. M. Sloane, at Te Rapa, gnd owned by Messrs E. C. Foote and F. A. Kneebone. Now Improving Tweedsmuir, a winning candidate last spring, ran a good race in the Easter Handicap finishing seventh. He will be improved by the gallop, and may be fin good trim for May and June meetings. The Sydney Sales On the opening day of the Sydney Thoroughbred Sales, the top price, 2100 guineas, was realised for tlie Aijar—Only Us colt, while several other yearlings brpught 2000 guineas and oyer.
