WHAKATANE LADIES' CLUB
.ANNUAL MEETING
The annual general meeting of the Wliakatane Ladies' Golf Club was. held at the clubhouse on April 22, 1944, where there was a good attendance. of members. Mrs Spence presided. After the minutes of the previous annual general meeting were read and confirmed the club captain gave a brief outline of the past season's activities. The treasurer's report was read by Mrs; Otley. The. election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs Spence; Captain, Mrs' Wins tone; Vice-cap-tain, Mrs Combes; Secretary, Miss V. Carter; Committee, Mrs Otley, Mrs Berg, Mrs Dawson, Mrs Sloane, Miss Tait, Miss Graham and Mrs Barry. On behalf, of the committee Mrs Spence thanked Mrs Combes for her generous donation of the Consolation Cup. Mrs Winstone moved a vote of thanks to the retiring president, secretary and committee. Votes of thanks were also moved to the Club Captain and to the Beacon. These were carried unanimously, and there being no> further business to discuss the meeting was then closed. Saturday's Play On Saturday, April 29, a Stableford Bogey competition will be played. There will be no draw and players are asked to arrange their own partners.
