THE NEW ORDER, AND WHAT
Sir, —During the proceedings in the House on the Local Election Polls Amendment Act the Prime Minister stated that it was the intention of his Government to fetch in a new Order of things so that there would be equality of franchise, giving the people the riglU to vote on all local matters irrespective of their right to subscribe towards the 1 maintenance of those municipal councils involved. This will eventually produce chaos. We ■ would like to see a new order of freedom, with peace and plenty, but how are we to get it? Not by totalitarian dictatorship! To draw a line of demarcation between the parties is not ' going to give this country a stable government. A new order under an old name (party) is only going to fetch back the old order of things under a fresh heading. What we the monetary reformers (Social Credit) of this country believe to be true is that no Government that represents fore'ign capital represents the people; whilst bureaucracy under totalitarian die--tatorship enslaves the people within the country so governed and reduces them (the people) to the automatic servitude of the shepherd and his dog. The Capitalist Party reduces the people to the servile state by governing them under the guise of democracy; whilst the power of foreign capital controlling the people through their Government reduces them to a state of servitude through a fear complex of poverty amidst plenty. When we, the' people, learn to control our own credit (currency) within our country, to which it. rightly belongs, it will remove the urge to fight for commercial plunder; and the tenth commandment; though shalt not covet that which belongs to thy neighbour will be fulfilled. Yours etc., W. BRADSHAW.
