LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

APRIL MEETING HELD

The last monthly meeting of the X-eague of Mothers was held on March 28, and was presided over by Mrs F. Gartshore, president. Letters from the Provincial Secretary and the Mount Albert branch were read. A very interesting programme was greatly enjoyed by members —it being unique in so far as it was contributed by three generations, Mrs Pearson, her daughter Mrs F. Lysaght and her grand-daughter Miss iP. Lysaght. Mrs Pearson gaye a vivid and informative account of her 4rip through Italy, mentioning in particular Pompei Island of Capri and Venice. She brought some excellent photographs of places she had visited and explained them in detail to Mrs Pearson sang very feelingly "I'll Walk Beside You." Pat Lysaght. sang "L'ittle Boy Blue" and Mrs Lysaght apd Pat sang several duets in a very pleasing manner. Mrs Gartshore asked members if they had any ideas in connection with rationing such as economical recipes to kindly bring them to the next meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, April 26, as Anzac Day falls on Tuesday.
