Flying Denizens
Spectators and competitors alike at the Te Teko Gymkhana held on Easter Monday at the Te Teko Domain were somewhat disconcerted to find that the moment they their entrance money and stepped inside the gate they Avere descended upon by hordes; of flying ants Avhich literally "got in their hair." However, the public soon became hardened to their attacks, and before long were treating them Avith lofty contempt and did not even bother to brush them off when they landed, a sure: sign of the ability of Ngav Zealanders to adapt themselves to anything—even ants in their pants.
