HAPPY DANCE AT WAIMANA
A happy welcomc home dance was held in the Waimana Hall last Thursday evening. when Gunner Sullivan was the. guest of the evening. The dance music was supplied by Mr and Mrs King and Mr A. Wardlaw: extras were played by Mr A. Bell, and Mr A. made a most efficient M.C. The Monte Carlo waltzes were as popular as ever. After supper Mr H. Ward law. on behalf of all present called on Gunner A. Sullivan to accept a wallet and its contents as a small appreciation of his services in the past two and a half years. The speaker stated the pleasure felt by the people of Waimana in being able to welcomc the men home from the war zones and as Gunner Sullivan had been invalided home, all wished him a speeds' recovery to good health. The guest most suitably responded, saying that he was pleased to be back in New Zealand. He thanked Mr WardlaAV for the pleasant evening given him and the gift t which was very acceptable. All joined in singing "For He's, a Jolly Good Fellow" and dancing continued until a late hour.
