RANGITAIKI DEFEATS WAIMANA After a period of more or loss in-- j activity the Rangitaiki Tennis Club' had a visit from the Waimana Club for a friendly match recently. An enjoyable day was spent, and the home team had, a narrow victory of nine sets to seven. The details, were as follows, the Waimana players being first mentioned:— Men's Doubles: T. Ward Jaw and King lost to Blair and Patiencc 4/9; Eagle and Hughes lost to Villis and Horwood 4/9; Clark and Woolfied lost to Burke and Rutherford 4/9:. Hughes and Gallagher beat McDonald and Crang 9/8. Ladies' Doubles. Mesdames King and Miller lost to Mrs McDonakli and Miss McDonald 3/9; Misses Luttrell and Wardlaw lost to Mrs Thomas and Miss Burke 19; Misses Woolfield beat Mrs and Miss Marx 9/3; Mrs Butler and. Miss Hodgson lost to Misses Topp and Robins 4/9^ Combined Doubles: T. Wardlaw and Mrs King beat Blair and Mrs Thomas 0/7; King and Miss Luttrell beat Villis and Miss McDonald 9/S; Eagle and Mrs Miller lost to Pati-. ence and Mrs McDonald 5/9; Clark and Miss F.
