YOUNG PEOPLE'S DANCE
EVENING AT OTAKIRI
The Young People's dance held at Otakiri last Saturday night was a good success, about fifty couples, being present. The liall was very nicely decorated by the young girls ?o£ Otakiri, wl\o put in a great deal •of time in preparation for the dance. Mrs I\. Armstrong and Mr S. Pierce supplied the music and the dance went with a swing from start-to finish. j\lr R. Armstrong made a capable M.C.—a fact which helped much towards making the novelty dances so popular. In place of the usual supper a soft-drink bar was erected, and dancing continued without a break. Novelty dances were won by the. following: Novelty Monte Carlo, Mr Beveridge and Miss. J. Campbell. Statue Log Cabin, Mr H. Swann and Miss M. StefTert. Novelty Monte Carlo, Mr I>. Swann and Miss S. Barton.
