HAIR RESTORED

SOLDIER'S EXPERIENCE

ACCIDENT CURES BALDNESS

A. Wellington boy, when 11 years old, lost all Iris hair. Even his eyebrows disappeared. His parents- did everything they could to help the boy but all efforts failed, and for some years he wore a wig. On the outbreak of war the voting man was posted to the Royal Enf4 gineers, and in due time found himself in the Middle East with his unit. There, because of his skill with motor cycles, he was frequently employed as n dispatch carrier. One night in the. desert he came into violent collision with m big army vehicle', suffered . concussion and other injuries, and was taken | to a military hospital. Alter being there for some time lie discovered, to his great delight, that his hair had begun to grow again. In a letter the young soldier said that already the. hair on the top of the head was fairly long. At the back ''it was a bit slow, but it is coming," and he added that his eyebrows again were in evidence. Then he went on to thank his mother for the. unremitting efforts she had made to assist, him, and also for the expense she had gone to on his behalf. And he ended by saying, in humorous vein, that she would never in. future be able to' protest against the use of the motor cycle, as really it was that which had brought about the wonderful change. The joy of the young soldier was apparent in the letter, and he concluded by saying that the boys in hospital "are beginning to call me 'Curly.'" The. only explanation that the medical officers could suggest was that the collision lia>l "uwasenect some sleeping gland," with the result that the hair had begun to grow again.
