ASTON BLOXHAM

.The All Saints' Churcli at Eclgc-t euinbe was the scene of a wedding of local interest on January 4th r when Marie Isobe.l., youngest daughter of Mrs ,\ s "ton, Otakiri, was mar-> riecl to Eric, youngest son of Mr and Mrs P. L. Bloxham, of Masterton (late of Edgecumbe). Mr WiU son performed the eeremony. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr B. Aston, was gowned in a becoming light navy ■and white, suit. Her aecesories were white, while her bouquet was of the same shade, and consisted/ of beautiful seasonal flowers. A friend of the bride, 1 . Miss Joy 111 lodes, attended her. She wore a frock of olive green silk, with black accessories, a bouquet of autumn tones was carried. At the reception which w r as held in the Edgecumbe. Private Hotel, the guests were greeted by Mrs As* ton who wore a frock and matching coat of navy blue, relieved by a spray of lavender shaded flowers. Mrs Bloxham who assisted licr wore a floral silk dress, over which was worn a black jeep coat, her liat, gloves and hand bag were black also her shoulder spray of mauvetints. Among the guests present were Mcsdamcs G. Revell, E. Marx, P. N. Cannel, T. Goodwin, N. Steinson Leslie, S. Bagley, B. Rhodes, J. Pryce, Costello and Riley. The Jbridal couple left for Waitomo and Dawson Falls Hostel. Ort leaving the bride wore a going-away costume of small checked black and white tweed, the black was repeated in her hat, shoes, gloves and handbng.
