Fourteen days since he was first discovered hadlv injured on the Awalccri road, the Whakatane Hospital reports that the young victim, Neil Butler, is still unconscious. His condition is said to he slowly improving.
At the: last meeting of the Whakatane. County Council the chairman welcomed Cr D. Butler the new representative for Omataroa Riding, who wa s present for the first time. "This is the first meeting when all ridings have been represented for many years," he said.
