THOUGHTLESS PARENTS

WATER SUPPLY AS BATHING POOL

CHILDREN AT HEADS

A number of parents complacently watched their young offspringl bathing in the small reservoir at the Heads last Sunday until one of the outraged residents who frequently uses the water for domestic purposes, arived l on the scene and! asserted herself in no uncertain manner. The spring which feeds the resell voir is privately owned and, is the only natural source of supply to residents. As a concession to the Borough Council it has been agreed to allow the public to use the water for picnicking purposes.! Unfortunately like, most public amenities thus 1 made available, it was not long before visitors erini it. Complaints have been made that bathers frequently wash their feet in the Avater or rinse dishes, but this is the. first occasion when children have been known to deliberately bathe in the spring. As it was. when ordered out of the. water the children merely ran off to the. beach and bathed in the sea. Residents at the Heads arc em-, piratic now, that unless greater care is taken they will have no alternative but to cut off the supply to' the road.
