YOUTH TO THE FORE

TWO BANDS IN TOWN

COMMENTS BY VISITORS

That few if any other towns the size of Whakatjiiie could boast • two Boys Bands, was the comment of several visitors to the town on Christinas Eve when the Scout Pipe Band, swung of! down the Strand, and the Citizens Boys Band proceeded to give selections- from the Monument. Both units, looked smart and provided a lively diversion for the large crowd of shoppers. Once again we have to congratulate the trainers of both groups and express the 1 that we shall see a good deal o£ them in the future.
