RUATOKI'S EFFORT SPECIAL SPORTS MEETING The amount outstanding for the Ruatoki area is now £297. In conversation with the secretary of the Maori Council, we have been informed that the: people of Ruatoki are bent on meeting the whole of their responsibility in this connection., To this end a Sports Gathering will be held sometime in the near future, from whi cli will be devoted the whole of the net proceeds. Failing this, to meet the required sum, the Maoris have decided to make voluntary contribu-: tions by dairy orders on their cream cheques. In this way they will be fulfilling the whole of their Patriotic commitments.
