The Food Rationing Controller, Mr J. E. Thomas lias anounced the availability of butter, tea and sugar coupons for the four-weekly period ending January 23 and February 20 as approved by the Minister of Supply and the War Cabinet. Tea Coupons 9 to 12 arc available for a total of eight ounces of tea from December 20 to January 23. Coupons 13 to 16 arc available for a total of eight ounces, of tea during the. period January 21 to February 20, 1914. Special \V3 coupon is available for an additional eight ounces of tea above the normal quantity at any time during December or January. Sugar coupons nine to 12 arc available for a total of three pound of sugar from December 20 to January 23. Coupons 13 to 16 are available for a total of three pound., of sugar during the. period January 21 to February 20The special Y-t, coupon, is available for an additional three, pound of sugar for jam at any time during January. The special Y5 coupon is available for an additional tliree pound for jam during February. Butter coupons A 9 and. 10 are each available for eight ounces of butter from December 20 to January 9, 1944. A coupons 11 and 12 are each available for eight ounces: of butter during the fortnight January 10 to January 23. A coupons 13 and 14 arc each available for eight ounces of butter during the fortnight Jannary 24 to February 6. A coupons 15 and 16 are, each available for eight ounces of butter during the. fortnight February 7 to February 20. The available coupons; for all these commodities up to Number 8 do not expire until December 26 but to avoid inconvenience during the holidays the next period has been advanced .so that all coupons which would normally become available on December 27 are now valid from December 22. Four Aveekly returns by retailers and -wholesalers for the period ending December 26 will not be required and instead a single return for the eight weeks to January 23 will be accepted.
