Fewer Dairy Cows A. reduction •of 1800 dairy cows is reported in the G'isborne district, this representing 9 per cent of the total. This large decline has had its cffect on production, and although the present Hush output 1 is holding fairly well on that for the eorres 1 - ponding period a year ago, the total output for the season, which made a slow start, shows a definite reduction. The Kia Ora factory output was 12 per cent lower for the season up to the end of November and 10 per cent lower for November,, while, the Okitu factory was per cent down for the season, but less than 4 per cent lower for last month. The ban on cream sales, however, has shown the Okitu November figures to better advantage although milk being sent to the milk plant 'in the place of cream to the factory might counter-bal-ance this position. With the abundance of feed at present it appears that December will be the flush month of the season.
