REGENT
Arresting mystery melodrama based on an intriguing topical theme, is promised, in Universal's "Nightmare" coming Thursday and Friday to the Regent Theatre. As potentially outstanding entertainment,, the film is additionally enhanced by a superlative cast headed by Diana Barrymorc and Brian Donlcvy who are co-starred. Interesting advance; data concerning the picture, reveals that the plot is based on a story by Philip Mac Donald. Bt deals with the murder of one. Captain Stafford, portrayed by Henry Daniell, and the strange series of events which subsequently implicate his estranged wife, played by Miss Barrvmore who flees the scene of the crime with a total stranger. Donle.vy lias the role of this very mysterious but irrepressible individual.
Damon Runyon's ''It Ain't Hay," newest Abbott and Costello comedy success,, comes Saturday and Monday to the Regent Theatre. The Ujiiver-: sal picture, first to be released since the two comedians were honoured as the nation's No. 1 box office champions, is described as more actively funny than any of the: previous Abbott and Costello screen hits. A large cast includes Grace McDonald, Cecil Kcllaway, Eugene Pal-, lette,, Patsy O'Connor and Richard Lane. Leighton Noble, and his orchestra are featured headliners. The film was directed by Eric C.
