POST WAR FINANCE
Sir, —-Most men of thought arc in agreement that now is the time tin prepare, for post war monetary reform. Are we going to lie lead into the pen of international economic dictatorship .by Wall Street like sheep to the slaughter? Had wc produced goods and services to prosecute the war without, the use'of a financial system every individual! would have produced goods and se'r-. vices, and would have received goods and services to meet his own. requirements. This is what lias really happened; hut the whole process has been manipulated by the use of a financial system. Tn other words the bankers have, acted as bookkeepers. keeping a record of transactions' as " they occurred. Mr Nash says there , will be no accounting in the lease and lend; therefore dYtes it not seem strange that we the. people owe millions of pounds—for what? They (the banks) have contributed books, pen and. ink together with their services. Have we done, less? There is an answer, • the money crcated they look upon as their own. They issue it to the people as a debt to be paid at soinei future date with interest, when in fact it is only a reflection of the productive capacity of the people. So long as this system is retained just so long will there be further economic pressure in the post-war future from those who would control our Governments and people. So with Xmas and ,New Year greetings to those interested. may we resolve to beat the enemy within our gates after wq have won the war outside. Yours etc., W. BRADSHA W., INDUSTRIALIST Your let.ter is still under investigation owing to the. seriousness of the allegations made. Ed.
