ITEM FOR REHABILITATION
Writing the County Council at its meeting las-t Tuesday the clerk of the Native Land Court, Rotorua, drew attention to the fact that Judge Harvey after an inspection of the Kuatalmna district had minuted the information that in ins opinion the district required better access. Some -day, it was claimed the road would be opened up and there would be no objection to the County Council have some work done with the assistance of a Government grant. Rock cuttings along the. river between the last short cut ford, and the lower ford were the most needed and the heaviest feature of the ford. The. council was asked to look into the matter and if at. all possible to have something done in the near future. The County Clerk reported "that he had conferred with Judge Harvey in regard to this; matter, who had slated that it might be that the council would be in a position to do j something if rehabilitation works were engaged in the Ruatahuna-Tc jWliaiti area. lit was resolved that application |ie over ■hahilitntio»4^^^^^^^^^^B
