GUMBOOTS FOR WOMEN
SHIPMENT PROMISED ARRIVAL "ANY TLUK NOW" The Hon. D. Sullivan, Minister of Supply and Munitions; has forwarded the following communication, elated 11th November, to Mr W. Sullivan, M.P. for Bay of Plenty:— "I\ have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of October 27th., in which you seek details of the latest position regarding gumboots par tieularly size suitable for women. As 1 previously stated, the position is hopeful, and gumboots from overseas should be here really any time now. included in the shipment promised are a number of pairs of sizes suitable for women and the whole of these sizes will be reserved for women and boj-s working on farms. It is not possible that the shipment will cover all urgent cases, and this Ministry has instituted the formulation of a scheme of control to ensure that only urgent cases are supplied. Full details will be released shortly in the newspapers setting out just, how application for release should be made.
