The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co. Ltd... report: —

Sheep: At their weekly stock sale held at Hamilton on Tuesd.ay, a medium yarding oL' fat sheep was penned. Competition was keen throughout, and prices for all classes showed an increase on last sale's rates. A smaller yarding of spring lambs came forward and, prices were firm on last week's rates.

Cattle: A full yarding of ox beef showed little alteration in prices from last week. A medium offering of cow and heifer beef improved slightly in value. The offering of store • cattle. Avas in demand, and iinder steady competition sold freely.

Pigs: A medinm yarding of fat pigs and a light entry of store and weaner pigs came forward.. Heavy baconers were slightly easier of sale but light to medium baconers remained firm at recent, late rates. Buttermilk pigs were in short supply, jj'rices for this class of pig selling in advance of other sales. The demand for store and weaner pigs was also keen, a good sale resulting. Quotations: —

Sheep: Prime heavy wethers 30s to 32s 3d; medium 2G's to 28s Gd; light 235; 6d to 255; prime heavy ewes 18s. to 20s; medium 15s to 17s; light 10s to 13s; prime heavy lambs 25s 6d to 27s Gd; medium 23s to 24s 6d; light 20s to 225.

Cattle: Heavy prime, ox £15 to £16 ss; medium £13 15s to £14. 10 s; light £12 to £13 10s; heavy prime young cows and, heifers £11 to £12 2s 6d; medium £9 10s to £10. 15s; light £8 to £9; Jersey and 2nd cow beef £6 to £7 10s; 3 year Hereford steers £10 13s to £11 Is; 2 year P.A. steers £8 to £8 14s; P.A. cows; £6 Gs to £7 2s; yearling P.A. steers: £5 17s to £6 10s; 2 year P.A. heifers £5 17s to £6'; yearling P.A. heifers £•4 10s to £4 15s.
