COMING-OF-AGE

ENJOYABLE POROPORO GATHERING A happy social evening took place at the: residence of Mrs Raymond, of Poroporo, recently in honour of licr son Kenneth, who had attained his majority. The occasion likewise served as a farewell to tiie guest of the evening in view of his departure in the near future. All the usual features were present in the well decorated birthday cake, toasts and good wishes and the evening can be described as a thoroughly .successful one throughout. Among the fifty-four guests attending were Mr and Mrs Gamble and family, Mr and, Mrs Gardner and, family, Mr and Mrs Donald, Mi sses Marie, and Margaret Donald,, Miss Simpson, Miss Nuku, Mr and Mrs Gates, Miss Soutar, Miss Perkins (Auckland), Miss B. Abbott (Opotiki), Harry Raymond (Tauranga),, Mr and Mrs P. Flynn and Mr and Mrs Alexander.
