SICK AND WOUNDED
WELFARE OFFICER'S VISIT ARRIVAL NEXT WEEK Warrant Officer H. Rice.'officer in charge, of sick and wounded for the No 2 Military Area, will he visiting this district next, week, in the interests of men disabled or suffering ill-.health as, a result of war injuries. Arriving in Whakatane at 2.150 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3rd he will be prepared to interview all men who come under the category of his responsibility at the Whakatane Home Guard Office, during the afternoon. He leaves for Waimaua next morning where he will slay from approximately 9.15 till 1015 and may be contacted, at. Bell's general store. From there he. travels to Opotiki but returns to Edgeeumbe on Friday, November sth and may be interviewed at the Home Guard Office there between 10. RiO and 11 a.m. From there he goes on to Te Puke where lie is due to arrive at 11.45. All information about his visit may be learnt from the Whakatane Home. Guard headquarters.
