AERODROME SITE
.*. INSPECTION TO BE MADE COUNTY COUNCIL'S POLICYThe Minister of Public Works writing the Whakatane County Council relative to its application for a qualified officer to make an inspection of proposed aerodrome sites states that arrangements have been made for the Aerodrome Engineer to make an inspection of the area, and as the matter was not pressing, it may be some weeks before such inspection can be made. As soon as the officer is able to be released, the Council will be communicated with. Discussing the. above the chairman, Mr J. L. Burnett, said that it appeared from a press report that the Borough Council was of the belief that the County Council was going to go ahead with the Te Teko proposal without any inspection bj r an Air Department officer. He trusted that the Borough Council would now understand the position.
