Otakiri Vice-Versa Dance Rumours that Otakiri intends doing something .quite out of the ordinary on the occasion of the viceversa dance, to be held on Monday evening next (Labour Day) are gaining currency throughout the district. We have learnt on authority that the evening will be brim-full of novelties. There will be special prizes for the best vice-versa couple and a waltzing competition run viceversa,, but we have yet to find, out whether the committee intends pa>"ing patrons to enter the hall and enjoy themselves. This we \suggest would be a genuine vice-versa gesture. Scouts Camp at Ohope All arrangements are now well in hand i'or the combined scouts camp at Ohope over the Labour week-end. It is anticipated that over 50 boys from the Citizens and Scottish troops will participate and .possibly there, will be others from Opotiki and the newly formed Awakeri troop. The camp will be held in Mahy's motor camp where the cabins have been made available bj- Mr F. Mahy free of charge conditional to the establishment of a special competition amongst the boys for 'Eushcraft and a knowledge of N.Z. trees.' This will be initiated during the course of the camp which will be controlled by Scoutmasters C. F. Thomas and S. Miller. It will extend from Saturday morning till Monday afternoon.
