EMERGENCY LABOUR
APPEAL BOARD APPOINTEE FARM MANAGER SYSTEM Of interest, to settlers where a temporary break down of labour in the milking shed, has taken place, is an arrangement made by the Primary Production Council with the Armed Forces Appeal Board. It has long been felt, some emergency system should operate to find labour, when, through sudden illness or accident no replacement is at. hand. The Board has placed a man for such purpose under the direction of the Council. In cases of emergency this, man can be obtained at short notice. He is experienced to take full charge of. milking operations. The duration of his services can only be until replacement is found. r lhe wage to be pjiid will be £5 per week, his keep and transport. No further advice has been received regarding school-boy labour, but settlers wishing to secure such assistance, should make tentative arrangements with their local committee men of the Council.
