The results ol' the .semi-linfds of the championships Avhieh wore player last Saturday were: Carter heal Powdrell; Cradwick heat Rangi at the 2t)th; Syme heat Dawson at the 20th; Smith beat Wright; Cockerell boat Armstrong at the 19tli; Stone beat Barry. Results of Stab'lei'ord Bojjey: Campbell 3.1, Burs tall 35, Combes 28. Draw for Saturday! The pla> r on Saturday will be for a four-ball best-ball bogey—partners arranged at the clubhouse. All finals will be played over ;j(> holes next Sunday, the finalists being: Cradwick v Carter, Syme v Smith, Cockerell v Stone. Tournament The course is now open Cor prac-t tice, for all golfers intending to participate in the Labour Day weekend tournament. Visiting Players: Advice has been received from the Gisborne Club that there will be 16 members from that centre visiting Whakatanc for the purpose; of taking part in the Labour Day tourney. Altogether there will be no less than (JO participants. The local course ahvays looks, its best at. this time of the year and all who take part in the big event are assured, of good golfing and a very happy time. LADIES' GOLF On Saturday 16tli instant, the Captains v Presidents match will be played. In each ease the name mentioned first Avill.be. the Captains player. The play will be: — Mrs Mussett v Mrs. Dawson: Mrs Sloane v Mrs Berg; Mrs Boon v Mrs" Combes; Mrs Olley v Mrs Suckling; Mrs W'instone v Miss Carter; Mrs Dallas v Miss Tait: Mrs Eggers v Mis.s Lenz; Miss Graham v Mrs Barn'; JNlrs. Stone v Mrs Smith: Mrs Bushett v Miss llighton; IN lis s- King v Miss Otley; Miss Luxton v MiSs Graeft": Mi.ss Hunter v Miss Donaldson; Miss Gow v Miss Winstonc; Miss Allan another. The final of championship matches are: Mrs Berg v Mrs; Combes; Mrs Eggers A r Mis.s Carter: Miss Luxton v Miss Winstone. A Ladies Committee meeting Avill be held in the clubhouse after the play oil Saturday.
